Monday 28 January 2013

This is the First week in Barbados. I'll try my best to write every few days, but it most likely it would be a weekly update. We've landed safe and sound, the flight was pleasant,  no one was scared of the flight.
As soon as we arrived at the airport, Axel, (The Leader Brewster Trust) Russell, who help us a lot in what happens in the island, final met Adrian Mapp (President of football and coaches in schools in Barbados, I think)

Monday, we met some of the school teachers. We were coaching coaches, for them to be better coaches. In fact, it was John Olaleye was leading the way to get them to have fun. This went on for three days.
Coaching, coaches.

Sessions that they had to take

A classroom session debriefing and styles of coaching

Thursday, we started in schools at Princess Margaret School and Providence Secondary school.  Initially we had another school, but they had a sports day. So, it was cancelled.
The school in Princess Margaret school is really different to Providence secondary school. Both had fields to play in. It was the manner in each school. The students in Princess Margaret they like to discuss which, teams and players are good. Providence School they we're willing to learn techniques as well as Princess Margaret.
We kept a similar theme for the whole week by doing 'domes and dishes'. Using the same sessions in each school that we went to this week. Which wasn't too bad.

Double Club was pretty much the same, expect for the primary school the booklet slightly different. In my option, some of kids would find it difficult to do the task in the booklet.

On Friday, we went to Princess Margaret school, we have this school at least four times a week.  First time going to Barbados Community college. It was different atmosphere, were they wanted to do things but the wanted a challenge. In the beging I did a warm up 'Arsenal vs Tottenham' Finally, got to The Codrington School. We decided that I do primary school and Niall did the secondary school. Both consist with Double club. The primary was interesting that the children wanted to learn. One thing I learnt is that you do the exercise books first before doing any activity.
